Nottingham Forest are prepared to listen to offers for right-back Nicolo Savona this summer, sources have told Football Insider.

The Reds are prepared to "consider" any offer for the 23-year-old if it allows them to recoup the £13million that they spent on him last summer.

The former Juventus man has emerged as a clear target for Atalanta, who are keen to try to take him back to Serie A this summer.

Savona is currently seen as Vitor Pereira's second-choice right-back behind Ola Aina, and could be shown the exit door if another addition arrives in that area.

The Italian made 14 appearances in his debut Premier League campaign last term, scoring two goals for Forest in the league.

He also featured heavily in their run to the Europa League semi-finals, but could now be about to move on this summer.

Atalanta line up Nicolo Savona as right-back replacement

Savona has only been away from Serie A for one season, but he could already be about to return if Atalanta get their way.

The Italian side are facing uncertainty at right-back ahead of next term, with key man Raoul Bellanova currently attracting strong interest from Everton.

Savona has been identified as a potential replacement for Bellanova if he moves to Merseyside in the coming weeks, but any chance of a move will rely on Forest playing ball.

The East Midlands outfit are facing significant interest in several of their key stars this summer, with multiple exits potentially on the cards.

Savona could yet fall into that bracket if the right offer comes in, but if not, then Pereira and Co. are happy to keep hold.

They have been linked with right-back targets of their own in recent weeks, but it is likely that it will be one in and one out if they make moves in that department.

Nottingham Forest ready 'ambitious' Roland Sallai move as Galatasaray face struggle to keep star

Nottingham Forest eyeing up international right-back

Football Insider revealed at the end of May that Forest are lining up an "ambitious" move for Galatasaray right-back Roland Sallai.

The 29-year-old Hungarian has been a key player for the Turkish giants in recent years, and they are not willing to let him go without a major fight.

Galatasaray are not prepared to welcome offers for the defender, and that has created a big stumbling block for Forest in their pursuit.

Sallai caught the eye with one goal and four assists this term, and also boasts ample experience in the Champions League.
