Betting update: Odds tumble on Tottenham signing 20-year-old goal machine
By Harvey Byrne
Tottenham’s odds of signing young Celtic forward Moussa Dembele have tumbled, according to the latest bookmakers figures.
Sky Bet have priced the north London club at 5/1 second favourites to sign the 20-year-old before the end of the summer transfer window on September 3.
It has seen a drop in price with news outlet HITC claiming on their website that that on Friday Dembele was priced at 7/1 to move to Spurs, a figure they had been priced at for the past month.
The cut has ensured that Mauricio Pochettino’s men are still the second favourites to sign Dembele, as they trail behind rivals and top-flight winners Chelsea, who are priced at 13/8.
Meanwhile, fellow top four Premier League outfit Liverpool trail the London duo at odds of 8/1.

Dembele has caught the eye of a number of clubs this season due to being a huge hit in Scotland following his summer transfer from Fulham to Celtic.
The young star has returned a stunning 32 goals in 49 appearances in all all competitions this campaign and many sides will have been wowed by his return in front of goal.
Now, Tottenham have of course been linked with the goal machine before and GetWestLondon reported earlier in the year that he had failed a medical with Pochettino’s team.
But, with his goal return in Scotland proving he has what it takes to score at a high level, Pochettino may now return for the player with plenty of potential.
In other Tottenham transfer news, this Spurs fringe man has hinted that he could quit the club.
