Odds tumble on Leeds signing £8m first teamer from PL giants
By Harry Sykes
The odds have dropped on Leeds United signing Liverpool striker Danny Ings before Thursday’s deadline, according to bookmakers.
Sky Bet priced the Yorkshire giants at 5/1 on Monday night to sign the 25-year-old, who was signed by the Merseysiders for £8million in the summer of 2015.
Newcastle United, Burnley and Celtic trail a long way behind in the betting rankings at 12/1.
The price has dropped from Sunday, when Leeds were 6/1 to sign Ings, and closest rivals Newcastle were 9/1.
Leeds are the favourites to land Ings after offloading Chris Wood last week to Burnley for an initial £15million.

Ings’ two-year spell at Anfield has been ruined by two serious knee injuries and he has not appeared in the first team since a League Cup win over Tottenham last October.
Nevertheless, the England international has an impressive scoring record and was one of the most in-demand strikers in the country before quitting Burnley.
Ings is contracted to Liverpool until 2020 and it has been widely reported that he could be allowed to leave on loan in order to build up his fitness and play first-team football.
In other Leeds United transfer news, the Yorkshire giants have launched a bid to sign a Wolves player in the next 72 hours.
