Olivier Giroud delivers his verdict on Arsenal character after win over Preston
By Amir Mir
Olivier Giroud lauded the “strong team character” of Arsenal after they beat Preston North End 2-1 in the FA Cup on Saturday evening.
Striker Giroud, for the second game running, netted a late goal for the club this time a winner with minutes left on the clock.
Arsene Wenger’s side started the game off poorly and were a goal down inside seven minutes when their defensive fragilities were shown once again.
A failure to clear the ball saw former Aston Villa academy graduate Callum Robinson slot home to send the home fans into jubilation.
After the break, midfielder Ramsey scored a brilliant goal from outside the box when he struck home Alex Iwobi’s pass to level the scores.

He will be looking to continue that run when the Gunners visit Wales to take on Swansea at the Liberty Stadium next Saturday.
