'Disappointed if I'm honest' - Rangers fans react on Twitter to confirmed striker deal
By Harvey Byrne
Rangers fans have wished forward Joe Garner all the best in the future on Twitter after it was announced that he had left for English Championship side Ipswich.
The 29-year-old only made the switch to Ibrox last summer in a £1.5million deal from Lancashire club Preston.
He was one of ex-manager Mark Warburton’s biggest signings, but after 34 matches and just 10 goals for the club in total he is now returning to England, as confirmed by the Glasgow giants on their official Twitter account on Friday evening.

Garner was often criticised for his goalless displays across last season, but upon his departure Rangers fans have given him a warm goodbye with many praising his high work rate on social media.

Thank you for your efforts Joe, hope you enjoy battering championship defenders next season. Disappointed if I'm honest! All the best!

Such a shame he didn't work out. Could see he had the potential in the right team. Just wasn't Rangers. All the best

At least he put the effort in & battled like a bear when not many others did. Best of luck to him.

Garner has built up a fine career for himself in England, playing for such clubs as Nottingham Forest, Watford and Preston and he will now be looking to recapture his past form at Ipswich.
Rangers, meanwhile are going under mass changes under Pedro Caixinha following their third placed finish last season and they have already brought in five players with forwards Eduardo Herrera and Alfredo Morelos both heavily linked.
In other Rangers transfer news, the Gers have been given an emphatic response to a fresh six-figure attacker bid.
