One Rangers deal in the bag, three more could follow as defender offer tabled - report

By Richard Parks
Rangers are working on sealing new contracts for three more players after announcing a new deal for James Tavernier, according to a report.
The Four Lads Had a Dream blog, which has broken a number of stories about the club in the last month including details of Tavernier’s three-and-a-half year agreement, claimed in a Twitter exchange on Wednesday night that the Light Blues are also making progress on keeping Alfredo Morelos, David Bates and Josh Windass.
Defender Bates is out of contract in the summer, striker Morelos has attracted strong interest from Beijing Rehne, who, as revealed by Football Insider, are preparing to offer him a jawdropping £38,000-a-week contract after tax, and Windass was the subject of bids from English clubs in the recent January window.
In reply to a question from a Rangers fan, Four Lads Had a Dream reported on their Twitter account that Bates has an offer on the table from the club, Morelos’ agent has flown into Scotland to open negotiations and talks with Windass over a new deal are “ongoing”.

The trio are key members of Graeme Murty’s team, which has showed signs of improvement since the end of December and was augmented by six new January signings, four on loan and two permanent.
