Ossie Ardiles has revealed he would not have anyone other than Mauricio Pochettino in the managerial hotseat at Tottenham following Spurs’ 2-0 victory over Arsenal.

Goals from Dele Alli and Harry Kane earned Spurs a 23rd Premier League win of the season at White Hart Lane over local rivals Arsenal, as former manager Ardiles watched on.

The Argentinian delivered his verdict on the match, marvelling at Spurs with “what a performance” before posing another tweet about former Saints manager Pochettino.

Ardiles claimed he would not “change him for anybody in the world” on his personal Twitter account, as his fellow countryman continues to inspire Spurs towards the top of the table.

With the 2-0 victory, Spurs confirmed they would finish above the Gunners for the first time since 1994-95 as they sit 17 points above sixth placed Arsenal in second place.

It leaves Spurs four points behind league leaders Chelsea with four league games to go, after Antonio Conte watched his side earn a 3-0 away win against Everton at Goodison Park.

Pochettino must continue his nine-game winning streak as Tottenham boss if he is to have any chance of leapfrogging Chelsea at the top of the Premier League.

Next up for Spurs is London rivals West Ham at the London Stadium, as they look to produce a repeat of the reverse fixture that saw Tottenham win 3-2 at White Hart Lane in November.

In other Tottenham news, Jurgen Klinsmann has also delivered his verdict on Twitter.
