Patrick Roberts warns big clubs will come calling for this rising Celtic star

Patrick Roberts believes that it will be inevitable that some of the top teams will eventually look to sign his Celtic team-mate Kieran Tierney.
The left-back has already become one of the most influential players in Brendan Rodgers’ squad and has recently been called upon to show his talents in the centre of defence with the on-going injury crisis plaguing the Hoops’ backline.
Roberts, 20, re-signed for Celtic in August on another loan deal from Manchester City and struck up quite the friendship with Scotland international Tierney, who has been in top form over the last couple of seasons in Glasgow for the Bhoys.
The attacker has now warned that some of the biggest teams may come calling for Parkhead’s rising star, but he is confident that the full-back sees his immediate future where he currently is.
“You see stories about Kieran all the time but he’s an exceptional player so of course big clubs will be looking at him,” said Roberts, as quoted by the Daily Record.

“But he’s a Celtic lad and he wants to play for this club. He’s enjoying his football like me – he just wants to play as many games as he can.
“He’s doing that here and is getting better with every game.
“I’ve decided that my immediate future is at Celtic and Kieran is the same. This is the best place for him right now, definitely.”
Tierney, 20, has played in all 11 of the Bhoys’ first 11 matches of the season across all competitions, scoring one goal and supplying one assist in the process.
Roberts is yet to make his second debut for the Scottish treble winners, but there is a great sense of optimism about his return after his displays in attacker last term saw Rodgers’ side create history by winning all domestic contests without a defeat.
In other Celtic news, this summer signing has claimed that he can be better than Kylian Mbappe.
