Patterson 'will not hang around at Rangers' after new development reported - McAvennie
Rangers starlet Nathan Patterson will not turn down a move to Manchester United if an offer comes in.
That’s according to former Celtic hitman Frank McAvennie, speaking exclusively to Football Insider amid the latest reports.
90min report Man United are looking for a new right-back to sign in January with Patterson on their radar.
The teenage sensation has only made four appearances for the Gers this season after a breakthrough 2020-21 campaign.
He sits firmly behind club captain James Tavernier in the pecking order.
Glasgow-based McAvennie insists Patterson will be unable to turn down a move to Old Trafford if there is an approach this winter.

“There is absolutely no chance of Rangers keeping him if Man Utd come in,” McAvennie told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“We can talk about him going anywhere. No disrespect to Rangers but he will not hang around.
“If that report is right and Man Utd are seriously looking at Patterson, talk about your head being turned.
“There is no one bigger. He won’t start there but he’s so highly rated. Rangers can’t keep him, no way.
“Maybe Rangers could sell him and loan him back. His opportunities will be limited with Tavernier there.
“But they will also be limited at Old Trafford. The thought of playing with Ronaldo will be too much for him to turn down.”
Patterson has been selected to represent Scotland once again for October’s set of international matches.
He has made three appearances for the national side.
