'Concentrate on your own club' - Paul Lambert aims dig at Rangers fans
By Danny Wright
Paul Lambert has aimed a dig at Rangers fans who want to see instant results from Pedro Caixinha.
The Portuguese boss has only been in charge at Ibrox since March and Lambert, a former Celtic player, has told the supporters to remain patient.
Rangers fans were frothing at the mouth after watching their side suffer back-to-back defeats to the Hoops, which included their biggest ever home loss last week as Brendan Rodgers’ men romped to a 5-1 victory.
Lambert, 47, believes that the Ibrox faithful need to focus more on what they’re doing instead of constantly keeping an eye on Celtic.
“There has to be calm and a sense of realism,” said the Wolves manager, as quoted by the Sunday Post. “The bottom line is that Celtic are streets ahead. They are right on the button just now and the supporters are with them 100%. Brendan Rodgers and his players can do no wrong.

“So Rangers are lagging behind, and if one of the Old Firm is second or third in Scotland, it basically means you are last. There is no middle ground when it comes to Celtic and Rangers.
“But Caixinha has to be given time, and there also can’t be a fixation about what is going on at Celtic. You have to concentrate on your own club.”
Celtic have won all but one of the six Old Firm derbies this season as Rangers returned to the top flight of Scottish football.
Caixinha has only been in charge of two of them but was in the stands as the Light Blues earned a late draw at Celtic Park in March.
Results have improved under the former Santos Laguna boss, but the 5-1 hammering at Ibrox last week highlighted just how big the gap currently is between the two Glasgow giants.
Rangers can all but assure a place in next season’s Europa League if they can grab a win against Partick Thistle in their next fixture on Sunday.
As it stands, Celtic are a stunning 39 points ahead of their Old Firm rivals after beating St. Johnstone on Saturday.
