'Phenomenal' Ings will be an Aston Villa sensation after what I saw last week - pundit
Frank McAvennie predicts Danny Ings will score for fun this season after signing for Aston Villa.
The former Villain, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, admitted he wanted West Ham to sign the ex-Southampton hitman.
Villa confirmed they had completed the signing of Ings from Southampton last Wednesday (August 4th).
Ings, 29, has signed a three-year deal at Villa Part after leaving Southampton with less than 12 months remaining on his contract.
The Saints chose to cash in on the striker rather than lose him for nothing next summer.
Ings has already scored for his new side, bagging in Sunday’s pre-season clash against Salernitana.

McAvennie has hailed Villa for keeping the deal under wraps and even tipped Ings to bag 20 goals this season.
“That’s the way you go about your business,” McAvennie told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“Say nothing, just go and do it. A lot of teams could learn from that.
“I wanted him to sign for West Ham, he’s a phenomenal striker and ideal for them.
“He guarantees goals. I saw he’s already got one for them in pre-season.
“He seems settled. Ings scores big goals and I’m sure his target this year will be to get 20.
“That goal shows he’s settled and 20 goals, that’s achievable for him. I can’t wait to see him play.”
Ings scored 12 goals in 29 outings for Southampton last season and also chipped in with four assists.
The Villans have also added Emi Buendia, Ashley Young and Leon Bailey to their ranks this summer but have lost Jack Grealish to Man City.
