Man City ace Phil Foden took to social media to celebrate getting "back to winning ways" after their comprehensive 6-0 Premier League win over Ipswich on Sunday (January 19).

The 24-year-old scored two goals and bagged an assists as Pep Guardiola's side climbed back into the Champions League qualification spots with their expert demolition job.

Foden opened the scoring in the 27th minute before laying Mateo Kovacic off to double Man City's lead with a long-range effort just three minutes later.

The England international then bagged his brace just before the break, sending the current champions into half-time with a three-goal lead.

Jeremy Doku made it four shortly after play resumed, and Erling Haaland celebrated his new nine-and-a-half-year contract with a bang, making it 5-0 in the 57th minute.

James McAtee rounded off the scoring just after the hour mark, sending City into fourth, one point above Chelsea who are set to play Wolves on Monday (January 20).

Phil Foden back to his best as Man City continue impressive start to 2025

Foden has seen somewhat of a resurgence after a poor first half of the season, starting 19 of his 25 games across all competitions, scoring nine goals, and providing four assists in his 1761 minutes of action.

Seven of those goal contributions have come since the turn of the year, and he has either scored or provided an assist in his last four games across all competitions.

The winger is clearly enjoying his football at the moment, taking to Instagram to celebrate the comprehensive win over Ipswich, saying: "Back to winning ways! Love itttt."

City will face French champions PSG in the Champions League on Wednesday (January 20), knowing a defeat would seriously dent their hopes of qualification to the next round.

Attention will then return to the Premier League as they host Chelsea in what could be a crucial game for both side's European ambitions.
