Phil Thompson predicts Everton v Manchester United

Sky Sports pundit Phil Thompson has predicted that Everton will be defeated by Manchester United on Sunday.
Jose Mourinho’s side will host the Toffees at Old Trafford and will be hoping to continue their unbeaten run in the campaign so far.
Everton has suffered three successive defeats over previous weeks and most recently suffered a 3-0 loss to Serie A side Atalanta in their Europa League group opener on Thursday.
United also took to the pitch during the week in their return to the Champions League against FC Basel, and Thompson believes that their earlier fixture may give them the advantage.
“I’m expecting a comfortable Manchester United victory having had a bit more of a rest with playing Tuesday,” the Liverpool legend predicted on the Sky Sports website.

“Pogba could be missed but this where Mourinho is better equipped with his strength in depth and, with Everton’s trip to Italy going so badly, everything points to a home win.”
The Sky broadcaster predicts the Manchester side to comfortably secure a 2-0 win over the Toffees and thinks that the Blues’ former top scorer Romelu Lukaku will find the back of the net first.
Sunday’s showdown will be the first time that Everton’s summer signing Wayne Rooney will face his former team mates since moving to Goodison Park.
Koeman will know that he faces huge pressure going in to the weekend’s clash as his side hasn’t managed to win a game in the competition since the opening weekend when they achieved a 1-0 victory over Stoke City.
