Marcelo Bielsa could be tempted to leave Leeds United if Tottenham come knocking as they search for a new manager.
That’s according to former Sunderland hitman Kevin Phillips, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about recent comments made by Jamie O’Hara regarding Bielsa’s future.
Last week, O’Hara said on TalkSPORT, “I know he [Bielsa] hasn’t obviously got a new contract yet at Leeds, he hasn’t signed something. If you can try and prise him away from there, that would be an unbelievable move for Spurs.
🇦🇷 “Bielsa would be absolutely brilliant, I think the fans would love it.”

Tottenham fired Jose Mourinho last week and are looking for a new manager as Ryan Mason takes charge until the end of the season.
Phillips claims Bielsa’s head could be turned by Spurs due to their stature even though he is building a project at Elland Road.
“It just depends how badly a club wants you,” Phillips told Football Insider correspondent Dylan Childs.
“Even if a club wants you that badly and they’re willing to pay millions to get you, as a manager you’d go in and say ‘I want complete control’.
“We know what Bielsa is like, he’d have no problem in managing Tottenham, it wouldn’t phase him one little bit.
“Would he leave Leeds? Spurs are a huge club and when you look at them, they’re in the capital, they have that stadium, sometimes it can be hard to turn down.
“He’s got a project in his head that he wants to fulfil so he has unfinished business at Leeds but you never know, if Spurs come knocking it will be hard to turn down.”
Bielsa has spent more time at Leeds than any other club in his long managerial career.
He famously only signs one-year contract extensions meaning he only has a few weeks left to run on his current Leeds deal.
