Phillips Exclusive: Clubs will be 'Lining Up' to sign 'Cracking' Rangers player

Clubs will be lining up to sign Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos in the summer, according to Kevin Phillips.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Sunderland and Aston Villa striker hailed the 25-year-old’s finishing ability and said that it will be that which is set to earn him a move away from Ibrox.

Morelos started the Light Blues’ 1-1 draw with Motherwell on Sunday and despite not scoring, he produced another eye-catching display as Steven Gerrard’s side restored their 21-point cushion at the top of the table.

It comes a week on from his man of the match performance at Aberdeen in which he bagged a brace in a 2-1 win.

His 28 appearances across all competitions this season have yielded 10 goals and four assists.

When asked by Football Insider for his thoughts on the Colombian striker’s form, Phillips said:

“For any player that wants a move, all you can do is what you do best – put in performances and in his case score goals. There is no point making noises off the pitch, getting sent off or challenging your manager.

“Last weekend he grabbed two cracking finishes and he showed that he is a good finisher. That is the way that you will turn heads.

“Morelos is definitely a player that, come the summer, will be on a lot of club’s radars – they’ll be lining up – especially if he continues to perform.”
