Phillips tips Wilson to quit Liverpool and dazzle at Rangers next season after reveal via BBC
Kevin Phillips claims Harry Wilson could shine at Rangers if he swaps Anfield for Ibrox this summer.
The former Sunderland striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, was reacting to Wilson’s comments about his future.
Wilson, 24, is quoted by BBC Sport as saying he will look for a move in the summer if he isn’t part of Liverpool’s plans next season.
He said, “I’m determined to have a good tournament there [The Euros] and, if it’s not with Liverpool [next season], I’m determined to get a move.”
Wilson is currently on loan at Cardiff City, his fifth loan spell away from Anfield.
He has previously spent time at Crewe Alexandra, Hull City, Derby County and Bournemouth.

Phillips has endorsed a move to Rangers and insists the attacker can benefit from already knowing Steven Gerrard.
When asked if Wilson could shine at Ibrox, Phillips told Football Insider correspondent Dylan Childs, “Yeah, definitely.
“He’s got a lot of quality, he knows Gerrard, he’s an exciting young talent.
“Wilson’s not going to cost fortunes and fortunes and he’ll shine up there at Rangers.
“He’s an exciting attacking player and he’s one that Stevie can nurture and get more out of.
“Again, I’m not criticising the league up there but with his quality he can definitely shine, it’s just where Stevie would play him.”
He scored a sensational hattrick at the weekend as Cardiff breezed past Birmingham with a 4-0 win.
Wilson is something of a free-kick specialist as two of his strikes at the weekend came from dead-ball situations.
