Phillips: Tottenham tipped to U-turn on transfer plan after Romano's 'perfect' Fonseca reveal
Paulo Fonseca could revive Dele Alli’s Tottenham career, according to Kevin Phillips.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Premier League and England striker claimed the Italian’s man-management skills could get the best out of the attacker.
Football Insider learned on May 24 that Spurs are willing to listen to offers for Dele despite the fact he played the final five Premier League games of the season.
He is said to be difficult to manage behind the scenes and therefore Spurs want to find a permanent buyer.
Mauricio Pochetinno’s Paris Saint-Germain were interested in taking the England international on loan but were not willing to pay a £3million loan fee.
Transfer guru and Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano told talkSPORT this week (June 10) that Fosenca has a “perfect” relationship with his players.

Asked if the ex-Roma boss could be the man to revive Dele’s Spurs career, Phillips told Football Insider correspondent Dylan Childs: “Definitely.
“I think that’s one of the key attributes of any manager nowadays – good man-management.
“They can all do the coaching stuff but it’s about getting the best out of players.
“We know there’s a player in there with Dele Alli, we saw it under Ryan Mason. He was getting the best out of him, he was performing.
“That shows you there is a player in there and bringing in a manager with good man-management is vital, definitely.”
Dele featured in 29 games across all competitions in the recently-completed season but started just seven Premier League fixtures.
The 25-year-old has 65 goals and 60 assists in 251 games for Tottenham.
