Tony Xia drops Twitter hint about new Aston Villa signings

Aston Villa owner Tony Xia has hinted the club's expected transfer splurge may not materialise after previously hinting the club are set to secure three more deals within two weeks.
The Midlands outfit have signed three new players this summer with Bournemouth captain Tommy Elphick signing for a fee of £3million, goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini joining for £4.1million and Aaron Tshibola transferring for £5million.
He said: "Quality is more important than quantity. Doing everything right is much better than doing a lots. You have to believe this."
However, the clubs' owner did praise the work by the current management and players as they build up to the new Championship campaign.
The Midlands outfit have participated in three pre-season friendlies so far, where they have been victorious in all and showed signs of togetherness.
"Very delighted to know the effort and atmosphere in the squad now. Good start!@AVFCOfficial" said Xia.
It is believed the owner has a desire to build the clubs brand overseas and he aims to target a market he is very familiar with.
