Piers Morgan called the Rangers fans “amazing” after the ovation they gave Paul Gascoigne at Ibrox over the weekend.
Former Rangers star Gascoigne was a special guest at Ibrox ahead of the game with Hibernian and walked out onto the pitch to an incredible reception from the fans.
Gascoigne himself tweeted his thanks to the fans afterwards.
And it led to Piers Morgan tweeting, ‘Brilliant! Great to see you looking so well and what an amazing ovation!”
Morgan also couldn’t resist taking a dig at Rangers’ rivals Celtic, saying, “That’s what you mean to football fans the world over (apart from Celtic).”

Unfortunately, Gascoigne couldn’t inspire his former side to a win against Hibs that would have drawn them closer to rivals Celtic at the top of the table.
Celtic lost to Kilmarnock 1-0 in a surprise result but Rangers couldn’t capitalise, going down 2-1 to Neil Lennon’s Hibs.
They get a chance to make amends on Tuesday when they take on Partick in a 7.45pm kick-off.
