Pike is yet to make his his first-team debut but was a key player for the Under-18s side that reached the FA Youth Cup semi-finals before the season was ended.
He played 90 minutes of each of the four matches during the run, including the memorable 4-1 win over Arsenal in the last eight.
Pike has over 50 appearances for Rovers Under-18s under his belt and has also progressed to the club’s Under-23s.
The imminent new deal for Pike comes as Rovers face a battle to hang on to another of their outstanding young players.
