Bournemouth and Crystal Palace are the latest Premier League sides to enter the hunt for emergint Aston Villa talent Andre Green, according to a report.
The Mirror claims that Tottenham, Arsenal, Manchester City and Liverpool have all been keeping tabs on Green, 19, who scored his first senior goal on Saturday in the win over Norwich.
Keinan Davis, 19, is also said to be attracting attention from the top-flight having played a starring role in the 4-2 victory over the Canaries on Saturday.
The youthful duo are both highly-rated members of the Villa squad and have made the step up to first-team football in recent weeks due to an ongoing injury crisis that has plagued Steve Bruce’s squad.
The Mirror reports that Bournemouth and Palace both sent scouts to cast their rule over Green in last week’s 2-1 loss at Reading.
The attacker has emerged as a key member of the Villa squad, having played four times across all competitions this season while Davis has only earned nine appearances in total for the club and is yet to score.
Football Insider Verdict
Aston Villa have had a pretty tough summer and although they could do with the money, they can’t be letting up-and-coming youngsters like Green and Davis leave the club. In response to this increased interest from the Premier League, Bruce should look to try and sort out new contracts for the pair to make sure that they are fully focussed on what they must do this season to help the club come anywhere near to promotion. Both are very promising players who could potentially be in the England team in the future. They’ll be worth a lot more in two years’ time than they are right now.
