Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba is a major doubt for his side's clash against Tottenham in the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley on Saturday, according to a report.

The Daily Mail claims that Pogba, 25, may be excluded from Wednesday night's trip to Bournemouth with manager Jose Mourinho fed up of the Frenchman's form in his two years back at Old Trafford.

It is understood that the former Juventus midfielder, who was signed for £89million, could be offloaded in the summer with his relationship with Mourinho quickly deteriorating.

Pogba was substituted off against West Brom on Sunday as Darren Moore's men earned a massive three points at Old Trafford that saw Manchester City clinch the Premier League title.

The 25-year-old has made 30 appearances in all competitions for United this season, scoring five goals and supplying 10 assists in the process.

Football Insider verdict

Mauricio Pochettino will surely be boosted by the news that Pogba could miss out this weekend as Man United's season looks as though it is completely unraveling. They were on cloud nine last week when they beat City 3-2 at the Etihad but West Brom brought them straight back down to earth on Sunday when Jay Rodriguez's second-half goal landed a huge blow on Mourinho and his side. It will be interesting to see how United respond against Bournemouth on Wednesday after their loss meant their huge rivals won the league title. Spurs on the other hand will have to focus on getting back to form themselves after their loss to Man City.
