Three signings that could make a huge impact for Celtic in January

COMMENT By Emma Sanders

The January transfer window is officially open so Football Insider takes a look at which three players could make a big impact for Celtic by signing in January.

Robert Snodgrass

According to the Daily Mail, Hull’s goal-machine has not confirmed a new deal with the club yet and The Daily Record have reported that Rodgers is a huge fan. The Scottish international would no doubt be a regular at Celtic Park and it’s possible Brendan Rodgers’ links with the Premier League could prove vital in the decision. If he’s stalling over a new contract, Celtic could pounce and get their man. Snodgrass is a Celtic fan and has said that he would love a move north of the border to play with the champions.

Patrick Roberts

The Manchester City star has been hugely impressive since joining Celtic on loan last season and he is due to return to England in the summer. However, with opportunities likely to be light at City, Roberts could secure a permanent deal with Celtic. A decision may be put on hold until the summer but Rodgers is unlikely to risk other suitors joining in the race.

Conor Hourihane

The midfielder has been identified as one of Rodgers’ top January targets and the Hoops are in line to beat Rangers to his signature. The Scottish Sun claimed he was been offered a new contract by Barnsley in an attempt to prevent him from leaving but the deal is yet to be agreed so his future is still very much in the air.

In other Celtic news, Moussa Dembele posted this Twitter messages following victory against Rangers.
