Mauricio Pochettino is taking advantage of the international break this week to work with two players that he thinks need more work, according to a report.

Football London has reported that seven Tottenham first-team players are in this week after not taking part in international duty.

They are  Lucas Moura, Erik Lamela, Fernando Llorente, Moussa Sissoko, Michel Vorm, Paulo Gazzaniga and Juan Foyth.

Pochettino is said to be working particularly closely with Lucas Moura and Juan Foyth.

He thinks that Moura needs more time to adapt to the Tottenham culture and will spend this week drilling that into him.

Pochettino is a huge fan of young centre-back Juan Foyth and the report claims that he could be unleashed in the Premier League soon.

The 20-year-old, who signed for £12million hasn't been seen in the Premier League yet, and has made a smattering of appearances this season, mostly in the FA Cup.

"Juan is 20 now and a great talent. He only needs time to adapt himself to the Premier League. He is going to surprise many people. Juan is a great kid with a lot of quality to become one of the fantastic centre-backs in the Premier League and Europe too," Pochettino said.

Football Insider verdict:

It surprised people when Pochettino paud £12million for an untested centre-back, only to not play him in the Premier League. But this could be one of the most exciting deals for Tottenham in years. Pochettino is absolutely convinced that Foyth is the real deal and is carefully honing him ready for his introduction to Premier League action. The report claims that Pochettino is spending the next two weeks putting him through his paces ready to play him in the Premier League. And it means that Pochettino might have a ready-made replacement for Toby Alderweireld if they have to cash in on their centre-back this summer.
