Pochettino brings down latest Tottenham star, highlights what he failed to do v Swansea
By Harvey Byrne
Mauricio Pochettino has looked to keep Tottenham’s latest star Vincent Janssen grounded, stating he didn’t score when he won his man of the match award in midweek.
The summer striker signing has had an up and down first season in England, but he has often been criticised for his lack of goals.
He did however contribute elsewhere on the pitch in Wednesday’s dramatic late 3-1 victory against Swansea after coming off the bench with 29 minutes to go and then assisting the side’s second goal.
His display at the Liberty Stadium saw him named his side’s man of the match, but in the build-up to Saturday’s clash against Watford boss Pochettino brought Janssen down by bringing up that he didn’t score.
The Argentine manager’s press conference was covered by ESPN correspondent Dan Kilpatrick on his personal Twitter account.

Janssen has played in 33 matches for Tottenham in all competitions this season following on from his £17million move from AZ Alkmaar in the summer.
However, he has returned just five goals and four assists and with star Harry Kane still returning to fitness following his latest injury the Holland international will be keen to continue impressing while getting on the score sheet himself.
