Pochettino: This is what Tottenham must do to win PL next season
By Matt Bullin
Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has admitted his side need to be more consistent throughout the whole season if they are to challenge for the title next year.
Spurs pushed Chelsea in the title race this term, but ultimately fell short and a poor run of form in October and November cost them dearly.
Chelsea secured the Premier League last Friday night, as they beat West Brom 1-0, to open up an unassailable lead at the summit of the table.
Spurs also pushed for the title last season, but Leicester ended up as runaway winners, and the North London club ended up in third as Arsenal overtook them on the final day.
Speaking to the London Evening Standard, Pochettino revealed what he believes his side must do if they are to become champions next campaign.

He said: “It is about being more competitive next season. In October and November we dropped a lot of points and it was difficult to catch Chelsea.
“Our performance at the time was not good enough. So we need to get the team more consistent during the whole season. Because if you are not, you cannot catch teams like Chelsea.”
Pochettino took the reins at White Hart Lane in 2014, and has since transformed their squad into title contenders.
Next up for his side is a Thursday night trip to the King Power Stadium to take on Craig Shakespeare’s Leicester City in their penultimate game of the season.
Tottenham have already secured second-place and with it, Champions League football for next campaign.
