Pontus Jansson delivers brutally honest assessment of Leeds form
By Danny Wright
Pontus Jansson has taken to his Instagram account to admit that his form for Leeds United in their past few fixtures has been “s**t”.
Jansson, 26, is widely seen as one of the best players currently on the books at Elland Road and after a strong start to the season in which he helped his side keep six clean sheets in six matches, it looked as though the Whites were on course for a solid promotion challenge.
However, Thomas Christiansen and his men have now suffered four defeats in their last five outings, while not winning with Jansson on the pitch in over a month when he played against Birmingham.
That poor form has seen them slide from the top of the Championship standings, all the way down to sixth, six points shy of Wolves, who now lead the way.
Earlier this week, Jansson took to his personal Instagram account to make his brutally honest assessment of his form clear to the fans, as well as issue a rallying cry ahead of their upcoming games.

“Last few weeks has been tough, things hasn’t gone in that way we all wanted and I personally have been s**t,” he said.
“But we all want the same thing now, going back and win games and the only way to go is hard work, 100%! Stay together everyone and we will for sure come back!”
Jansson has made 10 league appearances for Leeds so far this season and seemed to have formed a brilliant partnership with Liam Cooper in the heart of the defence before injuries and suspensions meant that Christiansen had to constantly shuffle his side around.
Next up for the Whites is a testing away trip to Ashton Gate on Saturday against a Bristol City side that are currently above the Yorkshire giants in the Championship table.
In other Leeds United news, Eddie Gray has named which fringe player could help sort out the Whites’ form.
