Pontus Jansson has posted a heartfelt Twitter message to Leeds fans by thanking them for their support in 2016.
On-loan Torino defender Jansson joined the club in the summer and has since become a firm fan favourite with the Elland Road club.
The 25-year-old has become an integral figure for Garry Monk’s side as they currently sit in a play-off spot heading into the second half of the Championship campaign.
He scored a goal for his club as they picked up a valuable point against promotion rivals Aston Villa on Thursday evening.
Heading into the New Year, Jansson posted this message to supporters thanking them for giving him an opportunity as posted on his personal Twitter account.

During his time in Yorkshire, the hard-hitting centre-back has helped Monk’s side secure 13 wins from 24 games heading into 2017.
Jansson has played 18 of those league games, scoring two goals, providing the same number of assists and helping his team keep seven clean sheets in the process.
The Sweden international has also represented his home country on ten occasions as he will be now hoping to help his side secure promotion to the Premier League.
The Whites have not tasted top-flight football in over 12 years, but following the arrival of Monk in the summer their ambitions of returning have grown.
In other Leeds news, Karren Brady has stated that this was a great signing by the Yorkshire club.
