Pontus Jansson posts three-word verdict on Twitter after Leeds win against Rotherham

By Amir Mir

Pontus Jansson stated on Twitter that Leeds go “marching on together” following their 3-0 win against Rotherham on Monday afternoon.

Centre-back Jansson played the full match as he helped the Whites record a clean sheet and pick up a much-needed three points in their race for promotion.

After a poor first half display, defender Kyle Bartley put the home side ahead when he headed home Pablo Hernandez’ corner two minutes after the break.

Striker Chris Wood then netted two goals in the space of 13 minutes to ensure his side clinched the win against their Yorkshire rivals.

After the game, Jansson sent this message to supporters as posted on his personal Twitter account.

Garry Monk’s side have now won six out of their last eight games as their promotion hopes begin to pick up pace.

They are currently in fifth place on 45 points from 25 games, five ahead of seventh-placed Derby and the same number of points behind the automatic places.

Sweden international Jansson has been an integral figure behind that success, helping his side pick up wins against the likes of Sheffield Wednesday, Aston Villa and Norwich – all of whom are aiming for promotion.

Monk’s side can open the gap on the top six chasers as they face Derby County in their next Championship clash on home soil.

But before that, they will be looking to progress through to the next round of the FA Cup when they take on Cambridge United next Monday evening.
