Pontus Jansson shares special Leeds moment during Aston Villa clash

Pontus Jansson has shared that he was overawed by the Leeds fans as Chris Wood scored the second goal against Aston Villa on Saturday.

The Yorkshire giants are currently enjoying a successful season, which has brought back the fans joy after several years of disappointment.

Garry Monk’s outfit continued with to impress on Saturday evening with a 2-0 victory over a strong Aston Villa team at Elland Road.

On loan defender Pontus Jansson revealed on his personal Twitter account after the match that all he could do was watch the fans as Wood scored the second goal in second half stoppage time.

Jansson has been a rock of the Leeds defence and continued his dominance on Saturday, as goals from Kemar Roofe and Wood secured his side the three points.

The Sweden international has played in 13 matches for Monk’s side this season and formed a strong partnership at the back with fellow loanee Kyle Bartley.

The club are now in fourth place following Saturday’s victory and sit two points ahead of Norwich in seventh, while five points behind Brighton in second.

They will travel to face the second placed Seagulls in their next fixture on Friday evening in what is set to be a crucial fixture.
