Postecoglou tipped to axe 'slow' Celtic new boy after Source's Jullien update - pundit
Frank McAvennie predicts Ange Postecoglou will replace Carl Starfelt with Christoffer Jullien in the Celtic defence.
The Parkhead icon, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, wants the injured star to partner Hoops new boy Cameron Carter-Vickers.
Carter-Vickers made his Celtic debut at the weekend and he scored from range after his effort took a huge deflection.
Jullien hasn’t played for Celtic this season as he continues to recover from an injury he sustained in late 2020.
A Celtic source has told Football Insider that Jullien is not expected to return for the Bhoys until next month at the earliest.
McAvennie claims Starfelt will be replaced once Jullien returns to full fitness.

“We’re waiting on Jullien coming back,” McAvennie told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“This will be a big one for Celtic. Jullien and Ajer were the two we used to play but neither of them would go out and fight for the ball.
“This boy Carter-Vickers is doing that. He should play with Jullien when he’s back.
“Let Jullien win the ball in the air and Carter-Vickers can go and challenge the players.
“I think that will work really well. Starfelt hasn’t impressed me too much in all honesty, he’s been too slow so far. I think Postecoglou takes him out when Jullien is fit.
“But he’s at a new club and there’s no reason he won’t kick on.”
Starfelt has already made 10 appearances for the Hoops after joining the club this summer.
He was criticised after a comical own goal nearly cost Celtic their place in the Europa League.
