PL attacker arrives in Glasgow to become third Celtic signing of January window - report

Chelsea attacking midfielder Charly Musonda has arrived in Glasgow, according to a report.
STV sport are claiming that the Belgian has arrived to complete an 18 month loan-deal with Celtic.
The 21-year-old Premier League attacker is set to become the Bhoys’ third signing of the January transfer window, following the arrivals of Marvin Compper and Lewis Morgan.
Musonda has featured for Chelsea seven times this season, the most recent appearance coming in the 4-0 win over Brighton earlier this month where he set up a goal for Victor Moses.
The Belgian under-21 international will be expected to provide creativity to a side that’s been missing the spark that can be provided by a Tom Rogic or Patrick Roberts in recent weeks.
Musonda will be a handy signing to have as the Bhoys are currently in a bit of an injury crisis when it comes to forward thinking players.
Not only are the aforementioned Rogic and Roberts out, but Stuart Armstrong is still recovering from a hernia operation and Leigh Griffiths has a calf injury picked up in Saturday’s 1-0 win over Hibernian.
If the transfer is completed in time, Musonda may well make his Hoops debut against Hearts on Tuesday, otherwise his first match will be against Kilmarnock on Saturday.
Football Insider verdict
Celtic fans will be delighted as Charly Musonda looks set to complete his move to the Scottish Premiership champions. The Bhoys have been lacking creativity due to the long-term injury problems suffered by Tom Rogic and Patrick Roberts, and supporters will be hoping that the 21-year-old is able to make the difference in tight matches. Musonda could also prove to be invaluable in the Hoops’ upcoming Europa League tie against Zenit, he is liable to play a major part in the matches against the Russian side as the Hoops aim to make strides in the later stages of European competition and beyond.
