Rangers would boost the creativity in their side with the signing of Everton youngster Kieran Dowell as he continues to shine for the Toffees in their pre-season schedule.
The left-footed ace has scored two goals in two games for Ronald Koeman’s side, driving home the winner against Gor Mahia in a 2-1 win before rounding off a 3-0 victory against FC Twente.
Dowell, 19, produced a superb drive from the edge of the area that found the top corner against Mahia from 2o yards out, after Wayne Rooney had opened the scoring.
He then doubled his tally with a wonderful curling effort that escaped the clutches of FC Twente goalkeeper Jorn Brondeel, catching the eye of Koeman and potentially any interested parties.
Dowell is unlikely to feature in the first team as much as he would like to next season, following the Toffees’ signings of playmaker Davy Klaassen and Rooney.
Football Insider believes Dowell should look to secure a season-long loan move away from Goodison Park and joining Rangers could be the perfect way to further his development.
