Pre-season star: Three reasons why Rangers must raid Everton for teenage sensation
COMMENT By Will Butcher
Rangers would boost the creativity in their side with the signing of Everton youngster Kieran Dowell as he continues to shine for the Toffees in their pre-season schedule.
The left-footed ace has scored two goals in two games for Ronald Koeman's side, driving home the winner against Gor Mahia in a 2-1 win before rounding off a 3-0 victory against FC Twente.
Dowell, 19, produced a superb drive from the edge of the area that found the top corner against Mahia from 2o yards out, after Wayne Rooney had opened the scoring.
He then doubled his tally with a wonderful curling effort that escaped the clutches of FC Twente goalkeeper Jorn Brondeel, catching the eye of Koeman and potentially any interested parties.
Dowell is unlikely to feature in the first team as much as he would like to next season, following the Toffees' signings of playmaker Davy Klaassen and Rooney.
Football Insider believes Dowell should look to secure a season-long loan move away from Goodison Park and joining Rangers could be the perfect way to further his development.
Here are three reasons why, including the loss of three creative first-team players that is likely to hinder the Gers chances of finding the back of the net:

Winning mentality
Attacking midfielder Dowell has already shown just how much he wants to win in his young career, after starring in Paul Simpson's World Cup winning England Under-20 side.
Dowell started six of England's seven matches in a side that held aloft the trophy after beating Venezuela in the final thanks to another Everton star, Dom Calvert-Lewin's winner.
That desire and hunger to secure victory would go a long way in helping the Gers close the 39-point gap that separated themselves and Old Firm rivals Celtic in the Scottish Premiership last season.

Loan deals perfect for Caixinha
Pedro Caixinha has already completed nine signings this summer, eight of which are permanent and his allocated transfer budget is already likely to be running on low.
That should see the former Santos Laguna boss look towards the loan market in order to bring in players that can still improve his squad, but without having to delve into the Gers' pockets.
Dowell could be allowed to leave on loan and would certainly improve the Rangers squad, with Rooney, Klaassen, Ross Barkley and Tom Davies ahead of him in the pecking order.

Toral, Hyndman and McKay
Rangers managed to find the back of the net just 56 times in the league last season, a huge 50 goals behind Celtic as they failed to launch a title challenge and eventually finished third.
That included playmakers Barrie McKay, Emerson Hyndman and Jon Toral, all of whom have since left the club for pastures new.
That creativity must be replaced and Dowell's ability to split a defence, shown by his 15 goals and nine assists in 52 Premier League matches, would be pivotal in Rangers' 2017-18 season.
In other Rangers news, Barrie McKay has told that his decision to quit the Gers was an easy one.
