How to watch Atletico Madrid vs Deportivo: La Liga title race heats up

Atletico Madrid will host Deportivo A Coruna live on Disney+ on Saturday as they bid to increase the pressure on Barcelona.

Diego Simeone's side could go just two points behind the La Liga leaders and four ahead of Real Madrid, with Sunday set to mark the first El Clasico of the season.

It has been a strong recovery from a slight wobble for Atleti, who won six consecutive games across all competitions before they were held by Stuttgart in the Champions League on Tuesday.

In Deportivo, they will face a side in need of a recovery after falling from a strong start to the new La Liga campaign. Antonio Hidalgo's side were promoted from La Liga 2 last season after finishing second, and began their returning top-flight season unbeaten in their first five games.

Injury to talisman Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been among the damaging factors, however, with Deportivo now without a win in any of their last six games across all competitions.

Can they pull off an upset? Do not miss out on the answer live on Disney+ this weekend.

How to watch Atletico Madrid vs Deportivo

It was a complicated start to the season for Atletico Madrid, who were forced to deal with the situation surrounding Julian Alvarez.

The forward had demanded a move to Barcelona throughout the transfer window and remained hopeful until transfer deadline day, despite his team's determination not to sell him.

Arsenal were also interested and Atleti would have been open to sending the 26-year-old to North London, but the player ultimately rejected the move and had to be reintegrated.

Alvarez made plenty of enemies and that process is ongoing, but the likes of Alex Baena and summer arrivals Jonathan David and Alejandro Grimaldo have contributed in the meantime.

The visit of Deportivo will represent the latest challenge for the title hopefuls, and all the action can be seen live on Disney+.

The clash will kick off on Saturday at 20:00 BST, and will only require a subscription to Disney+ for viewers in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
