Anthony Musaba, who left Sheffield Wednesday last year, is in talks to join one of multiple English clubs as he prepares for a return to England, sources have told Football Insider.

The 25-year-old winger has only scored twice since joining Fenerbahce in January 2026 and is now expected to head back to the country where he enjoyed the best years of his career.

Sources understand that the Turkish giants are open to offers for the Netherlands youth international's signature, with multiple clubs interested.

Both Premier League and Championship clubs are making moves this summer, Football Insider can reveal, as talks over a deal continue.

Musaba spent two very successful campaigns at Hillsborough, where he nothed 10 goals and eight assists in 54 matches, earning a move across Europe.

His career has not quite worked out as expected though, and it would now appear that he is set for a return to England in the coming weeks.

What should fans know about Anthony Musaba?

Wednesday fans are more than familiar with Musaba, who became one of the most feared dribblers in the Championship during his time with the Owls.

But pace isn't his only weapon. His balancing, ability to move to the ball onto both feet, and his directness on the flank all add to his overall danger.

He certainly still has that flair and tenacity that impressed Monaco enough to sign him in 2023, but he appears ready for a new challenge.

The French giants clearly saw something in Musaba, signing him from NEC Nijmegen after just one senior campaign, and what a season it was for the youngster.

He notched nine goals and two assists in 26 games, and also during his youth, the former Wednesday winger made three appearances for the Netherlands' Under-21s.

Which English clubs would Musaba suit best?

It is tough to say how Musaba would deal with a return to the English game, but it is no surprise that several clubs are eyeing him up.

Recently relegated Wolves and West Ham United could be potential suitors for the winger, especially the latter, given his similarities to Adama Traore.

Interestingly, during his final season at Hillsborough, there were very limited links to clubs in England, hence his switch to Turkey in the summer of 2025.

Musaba is certainly one to keep an eye on ahead of the 2026-27 campaign, and there could be a transfer battle that emerges for his signature.
