Alex Pritchard is set to undergo a West Brom medical on Monday and complete a loan move from Tottenham, Football Insider sources understand.

Spurs have reached an agreement with the Midlands club for the England Under-21 international to join on loan until the end of the season.

This comes after Pritchard was close to joining Championship high flyers Burnley earlier on Sunday. A deal was in place but West Brom are now set to land the 22-year-old playmaker.

Pritchard has just returned to training after three months out with an ankle injury.

He is highly regarded by Mauricio Pochettino and his coaching staff but they have decided he can go out on loan to get more first-team experience under his belt.

A number of Premier League and Championship clubs have registered an interest in the former England Under-21 international.

Pritchard had a successful loan spell at Brentford last season, where he scored 12 goals and supplied seven assists in 47 appearances for the Championship club.
