Pundit amazed by off-pitch Man United development after Ronaldo reveal
Alan Hutton has been blown away by the commercial impact of Cristiano Ronaldo after returning to Manchester United.
The former Spurs defender, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, insisted the 36-year-old has already had a major influence before stepping on the football pitch.
United confirmed Ronaldo had completed a move back to Old Trafford on Tuesday.
Juventus revealed United will pay around £13million (€15million) for Ronaldo, as well as almost £7million (€8million) in potential add-ons.
As reported by Bloomberg, Manchester United’s share price rose 5.8 per cent after the initial announcement last week (27th August).
Meanwhile, as detailed by Social Blade, the club’s Instagram followers rose by 2.5 million by Saturday (28th August).

While Hutton tipped Ronaldo to star on the pitch, he admitted he had been blown away by his “power” off it.
“I was watching something and it was talking about the Manchester United share price, how it rocketed when they were interested in Ronaldo,” he told Football Insider‘s Russell Edge.
“He’s a brand in himself. He’s joined Manchester United, and their social media followers go up by millions. That’s the type of power that this guy brings.
“He’s 36, but he’s an absolute machine. This is a guy who has looked after himself since day one.
“His game has changed, he’s not that winger with all the pace and tricks anymore – he’s a goalscorer.
“You just have to look at his numbers to see that.
“This league is stronger; he will be coming up against some of the best centre-backs in the world.
“But that won’t change anything, he’s done it all over the world. He’s guaranteed goals, and I can’t see that changing this season.”
