Pundit 'can't believe' Elliott footage that's emerged at Liverpool
Alan Hutton has been blown away by Harvey Elliott’s swift recovery from injury at Liverpool.
The former Scotland defender, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, admitted he could not believe the 18-year-old is out on the grass already after undergoing surgery in September.
Liverpool posted a video on Monday (15th November) of the teenager stepping up his recovery by returning to the grass pitches of the training ground.
Elliott underwent an operation on a fracture-dislocation of his left ankle back in September.
The attacking midfielder also suffered ligament damage in the 3-0 win over Leeds United.
Hutton admitted he has been stunned by the speed of Elliott’s recovery process.

“Unbelievable healing powers,” Hutton told Football Insider deputy editor Russell Edge.
“To go through such a horrific injury, to be back on the grass running at this stage…
“Obviously he’s in trainers but to still be out on the grass is unbelievable. Liverpool are not silly, they’ll take their time with him and only put him in when he’s ready.
“I really felt for him when this happened because I thought that was going to be the season where he would come in. Wijnaldum had left, he was really linking up well with the likes of Alexander-Arnold.
“Everything was flying, it was looking good. This sometimes happens.
“It’s a shame but he’ll be back, hopefully as soon as possible. As we see, he’s running already.”
Elliott featured in all four of Liverpool’s league games this season before being sidelined.
He has a total of 13 first-team appearances under his belt so far for the Reds.
The youngster spent last season on loan out at Blackburn Rovers, where he played 42 times.
