'Bruce will be buzzing' after Newcastle source reveals latest on Wilson comeback date
Gabby Agbonlahor has claimed Steve Bruce will be “buzzing” Callum Wilson is nearing a return to action for Newcastle United.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker insisted Wilson’s return to full fitness is a “big boost” for Newcastle.
A Newcastle source told Football Insider today (October 6) that the striker is increasingly confident he will be back available after the international break.
Bruce’s side host Tottenham at St. James’ Park immediately after the break.
Wilson has missed his side’s last four Premier League games as they endured a winless run.
Newcastle still have not won in the league this season and went into the international break second from bottom.

Wilson has been a major miss after he scored twice in the opening three Premier League games of the season.
“Definitely, it would be a big boost [to have him back],” Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.
“Steve Bruce will be buzzing to get them back. That’s what they need.
“Judge him when he’s got his strongest team back.
“Every team has injuries but Steve Bruce has been unlucky because his squad is so small. When he has injuries he is tested dramatically.
“I’ve got no worries for Steve Bruce, he’ll be fine.”
Wilson scored 12 times in 26 Premier League games last term after his reported £20million move from Bournemouth last September.
The four-time England international has scored 55 Premier League goals in 155 appearances across his time with the Cherries and Newcastle.
