Pundit can't believe David Moyes facing 'sack' at West Ham after development

David Moyes may be facing the sack at West Ham after a poor start to the season.

That is according to Spurs expert John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.

The Londoners sailed through to the Europa Conference League knockout rounds but their league form has suffered as a result.

Wenham now fears Moyes could be under pressure.

“In the league, they seem so flaky and they are only four points off the bottom now,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“They will be worried after investing a lot in the summer, they really did back David Moyes with a lot of signings.

“Those players haven’t repaid that faith yet. Losing at home to Palace is always a bad result but it is no time to panic.

“I don’t want to hear talk about Moyes losing his job or being sacked. They did so well last season you would hope he has money in the bank with the club and the fans.

“West Ham were in the semi-finals of the Europa League last season, that’s a huge achievement and it was down to Moyes.

“I think the players are more than good enough to turn it around and go on to do better things. Hopefully for West Ham that happens sooner rather than later.”

West Ham are next in league action against Blackburn Rovers on Wednesday (9 November).

Their final game before the World Cup comes against Leicester City on 12 November.
