Pundit expects Pickford to quit Everton for Manchester giants
Frank McAvennie claims Jordan Pickford could leave Everton next summer if he repeats his Euro 2020 heroics.
The former West Ham forward, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, can’t understand the goalkeeper’s difference in form for club and country.
Pickford, 27, just won the golden glove at Euro 2020 as England made it to the final.
He also saved two penalties in England’s ultimately unsuccessful penalty shootout in the final.
However, his form for Everton has been erratic at times and he has become a figure of ridicule for his mistakes.
McAvennie claims Pickford is a “different beast” for England and claimed that kind of form could earn him a transfer to one of the Manchester clubs.

“He seems to step up for England,” McAvennie told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“He’s made quite a few mistakes at Everton but for some reason when he’s with England he’s a different beast.
“It’s a strange one. He’s brilliant for England so he’ll be hoping to carry that into the season with Everton.
“Everyone loves him after what he did this summer and he’ll want to feel like that while playing for Everton.
“He needs a strong season. Keep it tight, no mistakes, that’s a big thing. We’ll see what happens.
“I think those mistakes are stopping him from making that step up to a Man United or Man City.”
Pickford joined the Blues from Sunderland in 2017 after his former side were relegated.
He has so far made 162 appearances for the Toffees.
