Pundit makes '100 per cent' Celtic claim after Kyogo Furuhashi reveal
Alan Hutton is adamant Celtic striker Kyogo Furuhashi will be Ange Postecoglou’s first choice striker this season.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Rangers defender suggested Kyogo will be a regular starter for the Hoops despite missing chances in their season opener against Aberdeen on 31 July.
Celtic won their opening game of the season 2-0.
As quoted by the Daily Record (1 August), the 27-year-old told Japanese outlet jiji.com that he wants to score “20 or more goals this season”.
The striker said he wants to continue to “produce results” for the Parkhead club.
Hutton said he thinks Postecoglou will continue to choose the Japan international as his first choice forward.

“I think any player can be dropped if they’re not performing, it doesn’t matter what team you’re at,” he told Football Insider.
“But for me, Kyogo is a starter.
“In the first game of the season you want everything to go smoothly, you want everything to go right.
“If you look at Rangers for example, in the final third they weren’t at their best but it takes time. Teams don’t get to 100 per cent until about four or five games into the season.
“I think Ange is nit-picking a little bit, he wants everything 100 per cent perfect but you can’t always get that. I think the main thing is that you’re creating chances, you’re making things happen.
“I know Kyogo had a couple of opportunities that went past the post, but that will come with time. The season has only just started. They’ve got a strong bench. They’ve got [Giorgos] Giakoumakis, [Liel] Abada, [James] Forrest, these attacking options to put on the pitch. But I think they’re in a good place.“
