Alan Hutton has suggested Jurgen Klopp "couldn't be bothered" having Neymar at Liverpool.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Tottenham and Aston Villa defender said he wouldn't be surprised if Chelsea decided to bid for the 31-year-old.

It is believed that a fee of £70-80million could be enough to bring the Brazilian to the Premier League and Man City, Man United and Newcastle United have also been contacted about a potential deal.

The winger's contract at PSG runs until 2025 and he has made 29 appearances this season, scoring 18 goals and providing 17 assists in those outings.

But, the Brazilian has recently been publicly chided by boss Chrisophe Galtier and his attitude has been questioned throughout his time in Paris.

Hutton suggested Neymar is not the right fit for Liverpool or other Premier League clubs.

"There is a lot of clubs that could afford it," he told Football Insider.

"I do not think Jurgen Klopp could be bothered with all the antics that come along with it.

"Does he fit into their style of play? Not really. He does not press, he does not close down players.

"He is a wonderful player with great ability and I think that is why people get frustrated watching all the off-field stuff. I know it comes easy to him, he is very talented.

"I would love to see it but I do not think he fits in to a lot of the teams out there. Would Chelsea go and bid for him? I would not be surprised."
