Pundit shares 'incredible' Newcastle United prediction after 'big thing he's spotted

Newcastle United will now put together an “incredible” run of form after beating Fulham on Saturday (1 October).

That’s according to former Leeds United stopper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the Magpies’ latest win.

Newcastle won 4-1 at Craven Cottage on Saturday as they picked up their first Premier League win since the opening day.

A brace from Miguel Almiron along with strikes from Callum Wilson and Sean Longstaff made the difference in a game that saw the London side reduced to ten men before the ten-minute mark.

Kenny is now expecting big things from the Magpies.

“I do wonder if Newcastle can put a big run of wins together,” Kenny told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“they can beat anyone in this league, we know that and they have only lost once this season. Yes, there have been too many draws and at least a couple of those should have been wins.

“But the Fulham game was a great chance to get another win on the board and they have Brentford next week.

“Six points from those two games and all of a sudden the conversation about Newcastle getting into Europe is back. It’s only one loss as well, that’s a big thing. They are hard to beat.

“They have looked really good, Newcastle. It’s just about getting those wins on the board and when they get that next win I do expect them to put some sort of incredible run together like we saw at the end of last season.”

Newcastle now sit seventh in the Premier League table ahead of next weekend’s game against Brentford (8 October).

They have still only lost once in their eight league games this season.
