Pundit slams 'boring' Arsenal as two new signings mooted - 'here we go again'
Frank McAvennie has claimed watching Arsenal is “boring” and the club need more signings before the end of the transfer window.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former West Ham striker said the Gunners need to sharpen up defensively next season.
Speaking to club media after his side’s 6-0 win over Sevilla (30 July), Mikel Arteta said the London club are still “hoping” to do more business before the end of the transfer window.
Arsenal technical director Edu told Sky Sports (26 July) that the club still “have a lot to do” this summer.
He said the club are prepared for “every single situation”.

They have spend around £120million on five new players.
When asked for his assessment of Arsenal ahead of the new season, McAvennie told Football Insider: “When you watch them it’s just boring.
“Sometimes you look at Man City and they’re great and then you turn on to Arsenal and you think here we go again.
“That’s the way they’ve been recently so maybe they need to sign another one or two.
“They were letting goals in too easily at the back end of last season.“
On 22 July, the Gunners confirmed the signing of Oleksandr Zinchenko from Man City for a fee of around £32million.
He became Arsenal’s fifth summer signing after the arrivals of Gabriel Jesus, Marquinhos, Fabio Vieira and Matt Turner.
