Pundit tips Leeds to bin £15m man as marquee signing lined up to follow Firpo to Elland Road
Gabby Agbonlahor has tipped Leeds United to sell Helder Costa and replace him with Noa Lang.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker insisted the winger did not do enough for the Whites last term to retain his place in the squad.
Football Insider revealed last week (24 June) Lang is interested in swapping Club Brugge for Elland Road.
This site revealed in May the 22-year-old was on a list of Leeds targets as they search for a versatile forward capable of slotting into the first team and the latest is he could follow Junior Firpo as one of the club’s headline summer signings.
Lang spent last season on loan with Club Brugge from Ajax and completed a £6million permanent move this summer.
However, that does not mean he is guaranteed to stay in Belgium next term.

Asked whether a move for Lang would spell the end for Costa, Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: “100 per cent.
“Costa did not do enough to stay at Leeds.
“Leeds will like to get Harrison, they’ve got Raphinha and one more winger plus they’ve still got Poveda.
“It just makes sense. You need to improve every season to stay fighting for a top-10, top-eight position.
“They definitely need another winger. Costa’s had his chance and he’ll be definitely moved on.”
Costa joined Leeds on a permanent deal last July for a reported £15million fee after spending the 2019-20 campaign on loan from Wolves.
The 27-year-old has scored eight goals and 11 assists in 69 appearances across all competition for Leeds, including 13 Premier League starts.
