Pundit suggests Bolingoli is finished at Celtic after 'strange' development
Alan Hutton has suggested Boli Bolingoli may not get another chance at Celtic after his “strange” return to the side.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Scotland defender claimed the 26-year-old “didn’t do enough” in his shock start against Livingston.
Bolingoli made his first Celtic appearance in over 13 months in the 1-0 defeat to Livi.
The defender was dropped to the bench for the League Cup win over Raith Rovers.
However, he was not even included in the matchday squad against Dundee United.
Teenager Adam Montgomery started against Raith and replaced the injured Josip Juranovic against the Tangerines.

Hutton admitted Bolingoli’s opportunity to impress “came from nowhere”.
However, he suggested the 2019 signing may not get another chance thanks to Montgomery’s emergence.
Hutton told Football Insider’s Russell Edge: “I thought it was strange at the time, I must admit. He (Bolingoli) just kind of came from nowhere.
“Obviously Ange came out after the game and said he’d been training well and deserved an opportunity, which is fine.
“You want to have a look at all your players within the squad. He did that in the Livingston game.
“Obviously he didn’t do enough to keep his place in the manager’s eyes.
“Sometimes when you get given that opportunity from nowhere, it’s the only time you have to grasp it. Maybe he’s not done that.”
Bolingoli has played 30 times for Celtic since joining from Rapid Vienna.
He breached Covid-19 protocols last season and was exiled by the club.
He spent the majority of the season on loan at Istanbul Basaksehir, where he made 18 appearances.
