Pundit suggests West Ham owners are plotting 'massive' David Moyes sack move

David Moyes is under pressure with his West Ham side “underperforming massively”.

That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.

West Ham fell to a 1-0 away defeat against Everton on Sunday (18 September), leaving them 18th in the table and two points from safety after seven games.

The Hammers have now registered just two wins from their last 14 Premier League games.

“They will be very disappointed with their start to the season,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“The board invested very, very heavily over the summer. They spent more than Tottenham did and brought in the likes of Paqueta and Scamacca.

“Aguerd as well. I think they have been unlucky with his injury, I think he is a very good ball-playing centre-half. He went under the radar and it was a bit of a coup for West Ham to attract him.

“They got that one done bright and early as well as making the signing of Kehrer. They made a decent number of signings and you have to be disappointed if you are a West Ham fan if you ask me.

“They have underperformed massively so far. They have had a decent set of game as well so I think Moyes will be under a bit of pressure.

“Money has been spent and the owners will expect more. They kept their best players in Rice and Bowen as well.

“Moyes will be given time after getting to a European semi-final for the first time since the battle of Hastings but there will be pressure.”
