Pundit suggests when Kamara will quit Rangers after talks update
Noel Whelan has claimed there is a “real possibility” Rangers could sell Glen Kamara next summer.
The former Leeds striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, suggested the 25-year-old would be on his way if he has not signed a new contract by January.
Football Insider exclusively revealed on Tuesday (September 7th) Arsenal made an approach to re-sign the Finland international during the summer window.
Contract negotiations between player and club have rumbled on for some months.
Speaking to MTV Uutiset on Tuesday (7th September), the 25-year-old confirmed talks over a new deal are “ongoing”.
The midfielder also confirmed he was “fully focused” on the Gers despite summer interest from the Gunners.

Whelan insisted Rangers would not consider selling the midfielder in January.
However, he suggested a summer exit would be on the cards if he has not committed to new terms by the turn of the year.
“It’s not a worry in terms of his performances, because he’s kept the putting in the same standard of performances,” he told Football Insider‘s Russell Edge.
“Contract talks are never easy, especially when you’re trying to keep big players at the club.
“It’s especially hard when there’s a real possibility of selling him at the end of the season.
“It will be the end of the season if he is sold.
“There’s no way Rangers would sell in January when they’ll still be fighting for Europe and fighting to retain the title.
“If the deal is to be signed, you would expect that all parties would have agreed to it by January.
“He’s an important player, and one that Steven Gerrard clearly admires.”
Kamara’s current terms at Ibrox expire in 2023.
The 34-cap Finn has made 112 appearances since joining from Dundee in 2019.
