Pundit swipes at Sessegnon after embarrassing Tottenham reveal
Ryan Sessegnon has failed to take his chances under new Tottenham manager Antonio Conte, according to Paul Robinson.
The former White Hart Lane number one, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, said the 21-year-old “has to prove himself soon” if he’s to have a future at Spurs.
Sessegnon was a surprise inclusion in the starting XI that lost 2-0 at Chelsea on Sunday.

Robinson, who was at Chelsea on Sunday, is adamant Sessegnon would not have started if Lucas Moura was fully fit.
“Sessegnon was given an opportunity because Lucas wasn’t 100 per cent,” he told Football Insider.

“Speaking to the manager afterwards, Lucas would have played if he was fully fit. Conte’s hand was forced against Chelsea.
“It was another chance for Sessegnon to impress. He’s had a few chances under Conte, who has been fair to every player.
“But Sessegnon has not put his hand up with his performances. He’s not done enough. He’s not taken his chance.
“It should be noted that he is still young and he still has time to grow.
“But he has to prove himself soon if he wants to stay at Spurs because he has not done it so far.”
Sessegnon has made nine appearances for Spurs across all competitions this season.
The Lilywhites signed the left wing-back from Fulham in August 2019.
